Waste industry recruits apprentices

8 Candidates have become the first to enrol on the Apprenticeship in Sustainable Resource Management.

Suffolk based ABA training is one of the first training providers in England to offer the new apprenticeship and gave registered three apprentices.

The new apprenticeship underpins a broad range of occupational roles in all business operations including transport, collect, and management of waste and recyclables.

Wiles Greenworld, London based green office Supplies Company has also in the last few years took up a similar approach in terms of resource and recruitment. Through recruiting undergraduates and offering work experience to university students fresh ideas are pumped into the company year upon year. Wiles Greenworld also recently won the Brunel Business School SME employer of the year award.
