UK’s largest modular build eco-store in Warwickshire unveiled by Supermarket giant

Yorkon, off site construction specialist, has built the new Tesco superstore using the modular system, meaning it was constructed in a factory and assembled piece by piece on site.

Green features of the new supermarket store include roof-mounted photovoltaic solar panels, making use of rainwater harvesting and timber dressing from sustainable sources. This shows Tesco is following corporate responsibility plans by supporting sustainable development and being environmentally friendly.

Lorraine O’Sullivan, Tesco development manager has said, “From a customer experience perspective, you cannot tell this a modular build. The over-cladding has been very effective and customers have been very complimentary about the new store”.
