Consider use eco friendly cleaning products at work as well as at home. Not only are eco friendly cleaning products less damaging to the environment but they also reduce toxic smells in the workplace making the office a nicer place to work.

If you have lots of meetings with staff or customers that involve travelling some distance consider using video conferencing where possible.

If you have a member of staff who is enthusiastic about green issues consider appointing them as the company “green champion”. It is amazing how a bit of enthusiasm helps! At Wiles Greenworld we have a dedicated Sustainable Development Director who is entirely responsible for improving the company’s environmental performance. He is both enthusiastic and has a wealth of environmental knowledge.

Finally, write an Environmental Policy Statement and look to implement an Environmental Management System to really show environmental commitment. If you need help or advice our IEMA qualified Sustainable Development Director can provide tailored advice on reducing environmental impact, improving consumption and monitoring performance.
