Packaging waste in rapid decline

The amount of packaging waste going to landfill across Europe has fallen by 57% over the past 11 years.

This fall has been driven by higher recycling levels, according to the European Organisation for Packaging and the Environment who carried out the research.

This type of strategy of recycling in order to decrease packaging is supported by many green companies, such as Wiles Greenworld, office supplies company based in West London. By offering a free of charge recycling service to customers within the London area Wiles Greenworld is able to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill whilst also having a positive effect on the environment.

All recycling collections are made at the same time as delivery of goods, in alternative fuelled vehicles therefore carbon emissions are also kept low.
