Melting Arctic link to cold weather

The shrinking of Arctic sea ice is bringing colder, snowier winters to the UK and other areas of Europe, North America and China, a recent study has shown.

Wiles Greenworld London office supplies distributor has learned that as global temperatures have risen, the area of Arctic Ocean covered by ice in summer and autumn has been falling.

Reflecting on the study, the environmental office supplies company believes that rising temperatures affects the jet stream and brings cold, snowy weather.Whether conditions will get colder still as ice melts further is unclear.

Green office tips: Have an environmental awareness day by switching off your heating and encouraging your team to wear jumpers or coats in the office.
