Greenhouse gases surge as freezing temperatures continue to grip the country

Greenhouse gas emissions in Britain have risen for the first time since 2003. Emissions soared by 15 per cent after a surge in gas use to heat homes and offices during the cold start to the year.

According to figures from the Department of Energy and Climate Change there was an overall rise of 3 per cent across the country. Wiles Greenworld the London office supplier and environmental consultant was not surprised by the increase as the temperatures have remained at freezing point. The green office supplies company did however offer its consultancy service to those seeking reduction in their impact on the environment. For help on reducing your carbon footprint customers are encouraged to contact Wiles Greenworld on 0208 758 7700.

Green office tips: Windows are after responsible for the loss of heat, keep your windows closed and curtain drawn to retain more heat in your home and office.
