Great Barrier Reef 2050 plan no longer achievable due to climate change

Due to the dramatic impacts of climate change, the main aim of the government’s plan to protect the Great Barrier Reef is no longer achievable.

Environmental Lawyers said that this could mean the Great Barrier Reef could potentially be listed as a ”world heritage site in danger” in the near future.

The Great Barrier Reef has many “ecological functions”. For example, the coral provides shelter and food for fish, it provides fish for humans, the various ecosystems provide experiences for tourists, and the reef structure itself provides protection to the coast from waves.

Here at Wiles Greenworld, the Green Office Suppliers in London, we try our best to reduce the effects of climate change to avoid such environmental impacts.

Besides providing your organisation with Environmental Office Supplies, we also offer Environmental Consultancy and a Free Recycling Service that can help you reduce your Carbon Footprint and fight against climate change whilst reducing costs.
