Free insulation

Britain’s largest energy provider has launched a new package of measures to ease the burden of rising energy prices on domestic and business customers. However, British Gas also warned that over the longer term energy prices would go up because of the cost of imported gas.

Among the measures in British Gas’ £100 million ‘Warmer Winter’ deal is a pledge not to increase energy prices this winter, an undertaking to help customers find a better price through a new ‘Tariff Checker’, and extending its free insulation offer to all British Gas domestic customers until next March. Cash-strapped businesses are also being offered energy efficiency advice and flexible payment plans, as part of the package, the company said.

Wiles Greenworld London office supplies distributor welcomed the move which it believes will contribute towards sustainability and the reduction of carbon footprint for thousands of British households. The environmental office supplies distributor maintains that in addition to the eco benefit, on average households will save hundreds of pounds a year.
