Education on water is needed by consumers

A new study shows that the public’s understanding of water demand is crucial to managing water efficiency programmes.

The study published in The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), says that consumers are not aware of their own water usage and are not willing to change their behaviour in order to tackle the issue of unnecessary over usage of water.
The study also found that although consumers are environmentally aware, they feel they have done everything within their power and now need further guidance on water consumption issue by governments, councils and water companies.

Wiles Greenworld, green office Supplies Company based in West London is very environmentally aware, and is able to tackle water usage issue within their energy efficient office through sensored taps that automatically go off after a certain time.
