Article: Green office news: Asia Pulp and Paper pulping Indonesia’s rainforests according to Greenpeace

Asia Pulp and Paper (APP) has been found to be pulping Indonesia’s rainforests and threatening Sumatran tigers with extinction. According to Greenpeace the company has been caught red-handed using a threatened and internationally protected tree species.

Last year, pressure groups persuaded Mattel and other toy companies to stop using packaging supplied by APP. Now Greenpeace is asking for support in persuading companies like Xerox, Danone and National Geographic to stop using APP paper tainted with timber from rainforest trees. Unlike Xerox, Wiles Greenworld London office supplies company buys 94% of its paper from sustainably harvested forests that are managed by FSC and PEFC standards.
