A Brief History of Wiles Greenworld

Wiles Greenworld has been striving to do the ‘right thing’ since 1935.

Here is a timeline of our 80 year history:

The Wiles family established Wiles of Wembley in 1935 as a supplier of drawing office products and services to local businesses.

In 1962 the Duncan family acquired the business and quickly extended to include office supplies, equipment & furniture, followed by opening a print department.

A lot of changes took place since then, in line with rapidly developing technologies and evolving office supply demands.

More recent developments include:

2006      Green World Supplies Ltd was acquired and the business merged into the Perivale office creating a company with a joint turnover of £6 million.

2007      We started trading under the new company name Wiles Greenworld, Wiles Group Ltd remains as our registered holding company.

2007      The company achieved ISO9001 and ISO 14001 accreditations and achieved Carbon Neutral Status.

2009      The company received The Sunday Times Best Green Company 2009 Award.

2009      The company achieved membership to the London Green 500.

2010     The company achieved ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditation with BSI.

2010   The Mayor of London’s Green 500 scheme awarded Wiles Greenworld the Diamond rating for its environmental performance, making Wiles Greenworld one of only two recipients of the award in the whole history of the scheme.

2010      The company received The Sunday Times Best Green Company 2010 Award.

2010    The company acquired Ensiform Office Supplies.

2011      The company was awarded the 2nd Greenest Business in the UK by The Sunday Times.

2013      Moved to new premises at Aintree Road

2014      The company invested £100k in 82KWh of Solar PV for warehouse roof

2015      Launched new print management division
