How we manage our environmental impacts is something we do very well.
We do it so well that BSI (The British Standards Institute) has chosen us as a case study out of 327,000 companies to demonstrate how we have met the new requirements of the internationally recognised standard for environmental management – ISO 14001: 2015.
If you are not familiar with ISO 14001 please see a few benefits of having the standard below:
- Identify cost savings with greater emphasis on resource, waste and energy management
- Develop the corporate image and credibility
- Quantify, monitor and control the impact of operations on the environment, now and in the future
- Ensure legislative awareness and compliance
- Protect the company, assets, shareholders and directors
- Potentially decrease public liability insurance costs for your organisation
- Grow your access to business partners and potential customers
Learn more about our experience by watching Toby Robins, Sustainable Development Director, talk with BSI about our transition to the new standard in the video above.
If you are thinking about adopting ISO 14001 or would like to understand more about meeting the new requirements and would like to talk about it please don’t hesitate to call us on 0208 758 7700.
Implementing an Environmental Management System takes both cost and carbon out of your operation.
Our very own Sustainable Development Director is a member of iema and guest speaker on both the Sustainability and Business Ethics, and the Supply Chain Management MBA courses at Brunel University, so he is well-qualified to help you to address environmental considerations within your organisation. By implementing an environmental management system you can be confident not only that your impact on the environment will be reduced but also that cost savings will be realised through the elimination of waste, that business can be won or retained as the environment features increasingly in tender requirements, that staff will be happier knowing they are working for an ethical and responsible company and that you are compliant and responsive to the increasing volume of environmental legislation.
Furthermore, BSI have reviewed the consultancy we have provided, checked the level of customer satisfaction, and welcomed us into a select band of accredited consultants. You know therefore that we can provide the support required to smoothly implement these systems allowing you to realise the benefits without disruption.

Green Your Business Guide…
Customers turned to us and said ‘we want to go green but we don’t know where to start’. We responded by writing a 30 page guide called ‘How to Green your Business’ which introduces the issues and provides a structured action plan department by department, sample environmental policy statements and a list of useful websites. When customers said ‘this is great, can you help us to make it happen?’ we restructured the company to free up time to allow our own Sustainable Development Director (FRSA, AIEMA) to provide ongoing consultancy.
Toby Robins our Sustainable Development Director created a guide that will lead you through making your business more green. Why not complete our enquiry form or call our sales office for a copy of the guide?
By carrying out a full environmental review you can identify what actions and initiatives you might wish to apply to your business.
In October 2015, the international standard for environmental management systems was revised and significantly upgraded. BSI selected Wiles Greenworld as one of three organisations to be case studies for the launch. This was a tremendous accolade for us, reaffirming our leadership position with regard to how the business manages its interactions with the environment.
Our Sustainable Development Director presented at the BSI launch on 6th October and was also keynote speaker at the Environmental Management Systems National Forum in Manchester in December.
The BSI case study can be found here.
What this delivers to our clients is unmatched confidence in our ability to provide consultancy support with the implementation of an EMS and the knowledge that we have been tested and found to be unequivocally practising what we preach.
